Fitzgeralds partners with Kermit R. Booker, Sr. Elementary Schhol through the Clark County School District Partnership Program and works closely with the school on mentoring students in reading and math. The casino's Community Ambassadors also conduct drives to collect school supplies, clothing and funds to assist needy students at the beginning of the school year and has donated bicycles as awards for achievement in Booker's Accelerator Reader software program.
Shade Tree Women's Shelter
Fitzgeralds donated $5,000 to this safe haven for abused and battered women and children during last February's charity golf tournament. They also helped build a new playground and collected Christmas gifts for for children in conjunction with Shade Tree's Angel Tree Program.
Nevada Youth Alliance
Fitzgeralds partnered with the NYA to obtain a $5,000 grant for the purchase of Booker's innovative Accelerator Reader software program and participated in last October's "Make A Difference Day" by sponsoring a luncheon for winners of the NYA's community projects.
Fitzgeralds Las Vegas is also proud to contribute its time and efforts to building a safer community through partnerships with the Southern Nevada Gang Task Force, Optimist International Club, Komen Race for the Cure and the American Cancer Society and other notable charitable organizations.
