Majestic Star Casino Unveils New Student Program
Buffington Harbor, Ind., 4/19/01 - Majestic Star Casino is heading up and unveiling its Majestic Star Student Program in collaboration with the Gary Accord Communities in Schools.
The Majestic Star Student Program is designed to help teachers motivate Gary's fifth grade students toward progressive achievement. Students participate by setting academic, attendance and community service goals and then striving to meet them. The program will run for six weeks April 23- June 1, 2001.
Three Gary elementary schools have been selected for this pilot program. The kick-off celebration begins Monday, April 23, 2001 at Norton, Aetna and Locke Elementary School.
Pam Am Airlines and Gateway Computers are co-sponsors for the program.
As a committed community partner, Majestic Star Casino continues to provide volunteerism, sponsorship dollars and community involvement all year long.
