Majestic Supports YWCA Event
Buffington Harbor, Ind., 10/17/01 - Majestic was a sponsor of the Young Women's Christian Association annual WomanPower Leadership Forum held at Indiana University.
The 2001 theme "The Spirit of a Woman" conveyed the YWCA's mission to Educate, Enlighten and Empower women. To formulate a positive mindset, the word power was incorporated into the day-long activities including; power breakfast, power awards luncheon, and power educational sessions.
The WomanPower forum annually serves as an umbrella for assembling an array of women who represent various socio-economic strata. This year's topics covered health, money, feeding the soul, rest and relaxation and a open forum called kitchen konversations summarized the sessions.
"Majestic was proud to sponsor this event," said Chareice White, community relations manager. "The Y.W.C.A. is a wonderful organization and with it's new building scheduled to open in December, I'm sure that will enhance the quality of service and programs provided in our community."
