Majestic Lends a Hand to Gary Chamber of Commerce
Buffington Harbor, Ind., 10/17/01 - Majestic participated in the Gary Chamber of Commerce's annual golf outing. The casino was a major sponsor and provided two foursomes which included former Chicago Bear Bruce Herron.
Several Chamber members, community and business leaders took part in this year's event held at Gleason Golf Course in Gary.
"We were very pleased with the turn out of 92 golfers along with exceeding our financial goal," said Jeff Williams, executive director of the Gary Chamber. "This year two former Chicago Bears participated in the tournament including Dave Duerson which helped to enhance the tournament. Several corporate sponsors helped the tournament to be very successful."
