Majestic Star & Trump Casino Hotel Host Corporate Showcase.
Buffington Harbor, Ind., 12/6/01 - Majestic Star Casino and Trump Casino Hotel hosted a corporate showcase for the Northwest Indiana Minority Business Development Council at Buffington Harbor.
Local businesses were able to network with each other and to offer their services. The purpose of the council is to give minority businesses the opportunity to compete for a share of goods and services offered by major corporations and government agencies. NIMBDC promotes partnership and economic development in the public and private sector. Through a host of programs and services, the council provides both minority suppliers and corporate buyers with many opportunities to provide and build mutual working relationships.
"The members of the council are made up of minority-owned and majority-owned companies," said Barry Elmore, Internal Auditor for Majestic.
The purpose of the event was to showcase minority companies to majority-owned businesses. The showcase provided a forum for companies to display their products and services. We hope this will increase awareness and business for the companies that participated."
