Largest Area Garage Opens at Buffington Harbor
Buffington harbor, Ind., 4/30/02 - The Casinos at Buffington Harbor will open the largest casino parking garage on the lake in May 2002.
Guests of Majestic Star Casino and Trump Casino Hotel can park closer to the action in the all-new 2,000-space parking garage. Sixty local tradesmen have worked several months to build the 5 acre concrete structure that features three elevators, six escalators and 1,000 light fixtures.
In addition to the new parking structure, a connecting walkway was constructed to provide patrons easy access to the newly renovated Buffington Harbor pavilion. Improvements include carpeting, decorative wall appointments, upscale lighting and new guest service counters.
Majestic Star and Trump management are hopeful that the considerable space afforded by the parking facility along with the impressive improvements made to the property will provide casino patrons with a convenient and enhanced gaming experience.
It is projected that the recent Buffington Harbor developments will generate incremental visitation to both the casinos and to the area.
Majestic Star Casino and Trump Casino Hotel are located at Buffington Harbor, just 25 minutes from downtown Chicago. The casinos at Buffington Harbor are the only casinos in Northwest Indiana offering boarding for 30 minutes every hour. Competitors offer boarding every two hours.
