Majestic Star Casino and Trump Hotel Casino to Present
Minority and Women Business Awareness Forum
January 4, 2001 - Buffington Harbor, Ind.- Trump Hotel Casino and Majestic Star Casino will host a Minority and Women Business Enterprise Awareness Forum on Friday, January 26, 2001. The forum, to be held at the Marquette Park Pavilion in Gary, begins at 1:00 p.m.
The forum is designed to inform local businesses of the needs of the casinos as well as provide information for those businesses who want to become certified with the State of Indiana as a minority/women business enterprise. The forum will also include topics such as expanding product lines for existing business and opening and owning a new business. Representatives from the State of Indiana Minority and Women Enterprise Development, Indiana Gaming Commission, Small Business Administration, the City of Gary, Trump Hotel Casino and Majestic Star Casino will attend the forum in an effort to provide the most comprehensive program possible.
"Majestic Star Casino and Trump Hotel Casino have been very successful in supporting minority and women owned businesses in the past," said R.T. Browning, Director of Buffington Harbor. "We hope this forum will create even more opportunity for us to increase our support of local businesses."
Trump Hotel Casino and Majestic Star Casino are located at Buffington Harbor, just 25 minutes from downtown Chicago. The casinos at Buffington Harbor are the only casinos in Northwest Indiana offering boarding for 30 minutes every hour. Competitors only offer boarding every two hours.
