Internal Auditor: Assists in the planning and development of Internal Audit policies and procedures to monitor compliance with the system of internal controls established by the company.  Develops and updates audit programs.  Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.  Promotes outstanding customer relations. Accounting degree preferred.  Experience in PC environment and PC based accounting software packages preferred. Must be able to sit 60% of shift, walk 30% of shift and stand 10% of shift.  Salaried Position

Beverage Supervisor: Supervises the service and performance of all beverage personnel within the assigned area (vessel bars, Star Lounge, Sports bar, Chairman's Suite).  Responsible for the operation of shift.  Ensures that all service and check control procedures are followed.  Responsible for beverage inventory, station rotation, and the cleanliness of outlets.  Handles guest's complaints.  Keep accurate daily shift reports and is able to communicate to manager and director.  Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate company/department updates, schedule changes, special information, and answer employee questions.  Assist manager in controlling costs, overtime, and expenditures.  Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for new employees and ongoing training.  Possess strong motivational skills and creative thinking.  Provide a harmonious working environment while being sensitive to the needs of our guests and employees. Must have high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 2-4 years supervisory experience.  Must be computer literate in MS Word and Excel. Good verbal and written communication skills are a must. Must be able to walk 50% of shift and stand 50% of shift.  Salaried Position

Corporate Marketing Specialist:  Responsible for corporate marketing responsibilities including copywriting, proofreading and editing as well as working with department on a wide range of creative and marketing projects for the company's four casino properties. In addition, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for some organizational and administrative duties. Works with Corporate Marketing team to obtain information related to projects and develop creative concepts. Prepares copy as assigned for advertising, direct mail and promotional pieces. Edits and proofs copy as assigned. Ensures accuracy of all final copy checking final proofs to specification, request and fact sheets related to each project. Records and corrects omissions, errors or revisions. Maintains creative project calendar monitoring timely completion of new and updated projects. Organizes and distributes on a weekly basis all news clippings to appropriate property and corporate personnel. Works with Corporate Marketing team to plan projects, discuss style and tone of message and ensure that printing and technical considerations are addressed. Maintains sample and program performance files. Assists with photo and video shoots as assigned. Organizes and maintains the corporate marketing photography library. Assists in projects related to the company's website. Maintains files and accurate records of all appropriate projects and programs. Responsible for all related accountability procedures including reports and updates. Coordinates delivery of materials and requests, make copies and send faxes, emails and correspondence as required. Maintains courteous relations with vendors, patrons and fellow employees and, at all times, to act professionally as a representative of company. Assists Director and Manager with daily functions operational of the department. Minimum two (2) years marketing experience. Degree in marketing or related field preferred. Experience in copywriting, editing and proofreading a must. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point applications. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.  Must be detail oriented, prompt and flexible.  . Corp Systems Implementation/Quality Assurance Manager (IT):

Responsible for the implementation of new software systems acquired at all property/locations.  Evaluates and makes standards recommendations that will ensure proper utilization of applications and data integrity for all locations in accordance with managerial and regulatory requirements.  Assists in the writing and enforcement of company policies, procedures and disaster recovery plans with respect to applications and systems. Supervises other team members throughout the company as part of project teams during implementation and upgrade of systems. Acts as primary point of contact during the implementation of all corporate IT systems for vendors and property management. Coordinates the implementation of corporate IT system upgrades & features as required. Coordinates the implementation of operational support & procedures between vendor and properties. Evaluates, recommends & coordinates training programs to ensure optimum use of systems. Assists in the evaluation of new systems/products/tools/features, for use and maximization by properties. Consults with property department directors & managers to develop system solutions consistent with organizational objectives and strategic plans.  Promotes outstanding guest/team member service and positive corporate culture. Bachelor of Science degree (BA) from an accredited four year college or university with a major in Information Systems, Business or other related field preferred; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and project management experience preferably in gaming, hospitality or other related organizations. The ability to achieve established objectives with available resources. Must possess successful project management skills. Experience with multi-site operations. IT Network Administrator:  Under the direction of the IT Manager: responsible for the overall system administration and Network performance of one or more key systems at Majestic Star and Buffington Harbor. This may include, but not be limited to, systems such as Micros Point of Sale, IGS (Slot Management System), Novell & Microsoft Networks, AS/400, web server, anti-virus system, e-mail security, Telecommunications, Internet/Intranet security, Personal Computers, and systems, which play a key role in the operating environment of the casino.  Provide on-the-job work direction to other support staff and function as a trainer. Interface with Majestic Star team members regarding computer program requests or problems.  Assist in planning and development of network technician, webmaster, training, and equitable treatment of all IT personnel and ensure the computer/equipment areas are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.  Evaluate network and related system needs and provide solutions and recommendations.  Assist IT Manager with identifying systems and programming requirements, setting priorities, and scheduling for systems maintenance and upgrades, systems development, and ensure their efficient, cost-effective.  Stay abreast of the new technology and systems.  Promote positive end user relations, high employee morale, and performs tasks or other duties at the direction of department Management as assigned. Minimum of a four-year computer degree from a college or university; or four to five years related casino experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must obtain Novell or Microsoft engineering certification and Novell or Microsoft administrator certification.  Must be able to walk 40% of shift, stand 30% of shift and sit 30% of shift. Sr. Executive Host:  Maintain and establish relationships with premium-valued gaming guests and promote Majestic to increase trip frequency.  Grow customer share and increase gaming revenues from both slot and table customers.  Perform administrative and leadership assignments as assigned for the Casino Marketing Department.  Creates and performs required maintenance of weekly schedules for Executive Hosts, requiring a balance among all to complete assigned tasks and responsibilities. Displays and teaches effective handling of guests' complaints and discrepancies ensuring that all guests are dealt with in an efficient and courteous manner. Assists department manager with training and development of Executive Host team. Addresses all issues, concerns and complaints of premium guests on a timely basis. Attends marketing planning sessions, providing input and proposing improvements to event development and VIP marketing. Prioritizes sales activities to maintain effective balance among loyalty building, prospecting and event sales. Communicates details of marketing programs, promotions and campaigns to premium guests. Aggressively fills events and promotional big days to ensure highest qualify theoretical attendance and maximum return on investment.  Generates incremental business and stimulates additional trips from loyal, premium customers via on floor sales, written communication and telemarketing. Pursues new Club Majestic membership from premium guests on property. Elicits credit play. Attends and hosts VIP events on and off property as assigned. Anticipates needs of premium guests, providing complimentary amenities consistent with company guidelines and reinvestment parameters. Utilizes and develops a variety of special services and comping options to increase interest and stay over.  Respects guest confidentiality, maintaining integrity while comping and providing credit. Records and reports on personal sales activity and results against established benchmarks. Displays positive and professional attitude and presentation at all times when communicating with guests. Maintains strong relations with VIP services and outside vendors to ensure that all complimentary interfacing and expenses are accurate and consistent with agreed upon arrangements. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related preferred.  Must have minimum of five years experience in casino customer service or sales with a strong network of premium-valued guests.  Must possess sound interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills.  Ability to perform multiple tasks in an efficient manner. Knowledge of word, excel and player-tracking systems required. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to walk 50% of shift and sit 50% of shift. Salaried Position


Front Line/Hourly Positions:


Snack Bar Attendant: Supply the Snack Bar with all food items needed in order to maintain an efficient operation.  Responsible for the preparation and up keep of food lines and self-service stations.  To transport all food items from main kitchen to respective area.  To monitor temperature of all food items in holding units.  Make certain you have ample supply of paper and plastic supplies at all times.  Setup and break down of entire area, according to shift.  Maintain the appearance of the food area, according to sanitation codes, rotating food as needed, and having all food appears fresh. Any other responsibilities necessary for maintaining an efficient and clean work area. Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds frequently throughout shift.  Must be able to stand 90% of shift and walk 10% of shift. A collective bargaining unit (H.E.R.E) covers this position.  Salary:  $8.50/hr.


Beverage Server:  Takes customer drink orders, serves drinks and collects monies in a courteous and efficient manner. Adheres to food and beverage policies and State Liquor Laws. Completes all required set-up duties on time. Keeps station clean at all times. Promotes positive customer relations. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Supervisor. Must hold or be able to obtain a Liquor License. Must have good oral communication skills. Interpersonal skills must include a positive, friendly and outgoing attitude, common courtesy towards others and the ability to deal successfully with stressful situations. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. frequently throughout shift. Must be able to stand for 20% of shift, walk for 80% of shift. A collective bargaining unit (H.E.R.E) covers this position. 

Salary: $5.85/hr. + tips


Bartender:  Takes customer drink orders. Serves drinks and collect monies from beverage servers and casino customers in a courteous manner.  Adheres to food and beverage policies and State Liquor Laws.  Acts as a cashier in front and service bars.  Keeps station clean at all times.  Promotes positive customer relations.  Responsible for the receipt of monies and settlement of guests checks.  Performs all other related duties as delegated by the Beverage Supervisor. Good oral communication skills are necessary.  Interpersonal skills must include a positive, friendly and outgoing attitude.  Must have the ability to deal with stress. Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) lbs. frequently. Must have the ability to stand/walk 100% of shift. A collective bargaining unit (H.E.R.E) covers this position.  Salary: $8.50/hr.


Barporter: Completes all set-ups on time.  Ensures that beverage supplies are available during services.  Keeps bar clean and odor free at all times.  Adheres to company and departmental policies and procedures.  Is courteous and displays a good attitude.  Performs any reasonable request made by beverage management.  Performs all other related and compatible duties assigned. Must have high school diploma or equivalent.  Interpersonal skills must include a positive, friendly and outgoing attitude, common courtesy towards others and the ability to deal successfully with stressful situations. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout shift. Must be able to walk 100% of shift.  A collective bargaining unit (H.E.R.E) covers this position.  Salary: $7.50/hr.


Multi Game Dealer:  Operate and conduct table games according to procedure during assigned shift.  Provide game security and protect Company assets by facing games at all times and being able to recreate bets/situations when necessary.  Handle all monies accurately in games.  Must be proficient in two (2) major games.  Provide superior guest service. Must be able to stand 90% of shift, walk 10% including the ability to bend/turn torso 90 degrees and have continuous movement of arms, shoulders and wrists. Salary:  $4.75 + tokes


Dual Rate Supervisor: Fully responsible for the smooth, efficient operation of the table games for a particular table or area.  Responsible for the supervision, operation and conduct of gaming at all table games. Checks equipment daily for problems and flaws that would jeopardize the integrity of the operation of gaming.  Directly supervises dealers in assigned areas in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.  Responsible for training, disciplining and evaluating Casino Dealers.  Must accurately rate guest table play.  Keep accurate track of money flow from Table Games and do related accounting work for all assigned tables. High School diploma or equivalent required.  Must have one (1) year of dealer experience.  Must be willing to work swing shift.  Must be knowledgeable in two major games and three minor games.  Must be available to work flexible hours. Must be able to walk 50% of shift, and stand 50% of shift. Salary: Dealer Pay & Supervisor Pay


Floor Supervisor: Directly supervises dealers responsibilities in accordance with the companies policies and procedures.  Responsibilities include training team members, planning, assigning, and directing work.   Appraising performance, rewards, and disciplining team members.  Addressing complaints and resolving problems.  Rating and tracking guests play.  Assist guests in obtaining a marker.  Making sure buy-ins are correct. *Must have prior supervisory experience. Must be knowledgeable in two major games and three minor games. Must possess good organizational skills.  Ability to deal with problems and work under stress. Must be able to stand 50% of shift and walk 50% of shift.  Day Rate Position

Cage Cashiers:  Quickly and accurately cuts and counts chips on a continuous basis. Quickly and accurately makes change, cashes checks and processes markers and fills. Writes receipts for markers, pay outs, and other documents. Inputs and accesses information on the computer. Greets patrons and offers efficient, timely customer service during all window transactions. Uses current technology to obtain customer credit information, field incoming calls and coordinates work with fellow employees. Maintains bank balance and keeps work area clean and supplies stocked. Completes any required paperwork. Performs any additional duties as assigned by the shift supervisor. Prior cashier or teller experience required. Good arithmetic skills required  (Will be tested). Ability to lift and carry bags of coins up to 75 lbs., and canned coins weighing up to 26 pounds from jetsorts to storage bins and in the form of fill bags being lifted to counter top frequently. Must have the ability to stand for eight to ten hours with stooping and bending. Must be able to stand 100% of shift.
Salary:  $ 9.00/hr. 


Casino Service Reps:  Services Majestic Star player club members. Promotes excellent customer relations. Maintains knowledge of player recognition programs regarding point value, cash back, comp issuance and customer response functions. Consistently displays positive morale and high service standards. Performs all club functions and point transactions. Completes all documentation regarding passenger head counts and routes information to the appropriate individuals. Standing 100% of shift. Must be able to lift and carry 220 pounds. Salary $8.25/hr.


VIP Service Rep: Responsible for servicing Majestic Star Premier Members.  Handles volumes of calls and takes reservations for events.  Maintains knowledge of player recognition programs regarding premier card status, cash back, comp issuance and patron response functions.  Controls and monitors access to concierge amenities.  Coordinates services and amenities for premium players as requested by management.  Performs Premier-boarding function.  Performs all club functions as required.  Consistently displays positive morale and high service standards.  Performs all VIP related duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or . High School diploma equivalent required.  Must be proficient in Windows '98. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must be available to work a flexible schedule. Must be able to sit 80% of shift, walk 15% of shift, and stand 5% of shift. Salary: $10.00/hr.


Guest Service and Safety Officer: Responsible for the security and safety of patrons and employees during assigned shift. Safeguards Company assets during shift times. Enforces policies and procedures as they apply to the Internal Controls and Gaming regulations during their assigned shifts. Assists in the event of an emergency. Minimum of one (1) year Law Enforcement/Security/Military experience preferred. Ability to learn and understand the rules of the Gaming Commission. Requires frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand 10% of shift, walk 90% of shift. Salary: $9.00/hr.


Housekeeper: Knowledge of cleaning supply usage (mixing the right chemicals for the job and the usage of MSDS).  Performs cleaning assignments as directed by housekeeping supervisor and or/crew leader.  Communicates with supervisor and/or crew leader regarding concerns problems/difficulty with assigned duties or equipment.  Superior guest service skills are required.  Must be able to work in tight or restricted areas.  Must be able to operate machinery associated with cleaning task.  Must be able to work in team environment, assisting other employees in performing tasks.  Must comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.  Must be willing to work flexible schedule. Must be able to lift 30lbs. Must be able to stand 25% of shift and walk 75% of shift.  Salary: $8.50/hr.


All positions: Must be able to withstand noisy and smoke filled environments. Must be tolerant to frequent moderate motion and occasional severe motion associated with lake weather conditions.  Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
